Hi. Thank you for your interest in becoming an instructor with our Motorcycle Safety Program. To receive an application form contact us at info@ssnb.ca.
Once we receive your completed application, we will review and upon approval of your application, you will be contacted with the dates for the next Instructor Trainer Course. Approved applicants are contacted in April, with the course usually held the long weekend in May (Friday evening, all day Saturday/Sunday) in Fredericton. The Train the Trainer course is of no cost to the Instructor Candidate, and those who are not from the Fredericton and surrounding area are reimbursed travel costs once they complete the steps required to become a certified instructor (which include teaching 2 courses, the first being an unpaid probation course).
Prior to attending the Instructor Trainer Course, individuals will be required to provide us with the following (please note – fees incurred by the Instructor Candidate are the responsibility of the Instructor Candidate):
- A verifiable clean driving record
- A current certification in Workplace Standard First Aid (2-days) for NB; 1-Day First Aid for PEI
- A criminal record check (MUST be original and include the “vulnerable sector check”)
If you would like more information on our weekend-long motorcycle course, offered at 10 locations throughout NB and PEI, check out our website www.safetyservicesnb.ca/mtp.php
