Safety Start Program
A program that offers 24 hours of training in Occupational Health and Safety and Workplace Standard First.
Three days of Occupational Health & Safety and First Aid training
The Safety Start program began in the year 2000 and has been completed by more than 50,000 participants. Safety Start is a three-day program covering workplace health & safety, first aid, and other resources relating to workplace safety. Successful participants will receive certification in:
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Workplace Standard First Aid with CPR C & AED
These certifications are recognized, and valued, by employers across the province. The goal of the program is to promote health & safety in the workplace and to help participants gain employment.
Additional Information
The Safety Start program, and materials, have been designed to be as accessible as possible. Every effort is made to ensure that language, literacy, and comprehension skills are not obstacles preventing participants from getting the most out of the program.
