Arboricutural Electrical Safety (AES)

The NB Safety Council Inc. offers a one day Arboricultural Electrical Safety Course (known as 'Green Card'). This course meets the requirements of current legislation and the New Brunswick Power Corporation tendering process. The Council's AES Training program prepares those working near power structures, such as transmission and distribution lines, to protect their safety and the health and safety of other workers.

Topics covered by the ARBORICULTURAL ELECTRICAL SAFETY COURSE include:

  1. Electrical Theory Basics
  2. Direct Current
  3. Alternating Current
  4. Safety in the Field
  5. Ropes and Knots
  6. Health Care and Pruning of Trees

The entire program is in layman's terms, presented in a format of videos, slides and group discussion. The registration Fee covers the student training manual, test, pocket guide for tree pruning and wallet card as certificate of training.
